Parathyroid Disease
Conditions:
- Primary Hyperparathyroidism (high parathyroid hormone resulting in high calcium levels)
- Secondary Hyperparathyroidism (something causing high parathyroid levels)
- Hypoparathyroidism (low parathyroid hormone resulting in low calcium levels)
Expectations: Calcium levels will be reviewed (it will be helpful for you to find old calcium lab results going back years, or even decades). In many cases, I will recommend a bone density scan, along with labs.
